  • "There is only one of you in the entire Universe. You are unique, adored, and love beyond measure. Let go of the things that do not serve you and trust that you'll be given something much more beautiful and better for your soul in return."

"The inspiration behind this painting circles around the Law of Attraction, a notion that positive thoughts and actions reap positive rewards and vice versa. Ultimately by living this law one may experience better health, more success and a brighter future. I created this piece to also inspire the viewer to evaluate their own existence, own self worth and what love or things they hold dear. When something is meant for you it will bring clarity not confusion or chaos. When something is meant for you it will make you feel loved, safe and at ease. Sometimes we just need to release what needs to be released in order to receive what needs to be received.
In addition, another aspect of this painting was inspired by virtuous qualities such as: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, long-suffering, gentleness, faith, modesty, self-control, forgiveness, temperance and chastity. We live in a world full of virtue and vice. There may be times in our lives where we hold on to a vice too tightly and may not be aware that if we just let it go and trust in our journey to improve ourselves... we may be given something ten times more beneficial for our growth.
This painting portrays a young women embracing a beautiful bouquet close to her body and heart with blossoms from the top of her head. She is, in many ways, a symbolic pillar of virtue and an example of receiving this universal Grace.
One of my favorite flowers to paint is the magnolia. Here a magnolia is positioned on her crown chakra to suggest purified consciousness and divine royalty. I was often thinking of my daughter while I was painting this in the studio. I wanted to capture the essence of pureness and youth. But I also wanted to simply paint a composition that was lovely , light and universal in meaning.
I was taught that if there is anything virtuous or lovely to seek after those things, to hold them close and cherish them. There were many chapters in my life where I choose a vice over a virtue, but when I decide to consciously give up and redirect my thoughts and actions, those choices end up filling me with immense love and in return overflow my life with bouquets of joy. My hope is that this painting will uplift and inspire the viewer to reflect on there own thoughts, deeds and actions and be reminded of how special and beautiful they are... with an unlimited potential to achieve and receive." - Lindsey Erin
